(This is where life begins)
Darkness fills this moonless night
as Hecate calls to me.
"Give me your fears and sorrow and pain
and by my will, you shall be free."
And so I wrap myself in garb of white,
purified for my rebirth,
and take my bag of candles and spells
to the very edge of the earth.
On scraps of paper I write the words
that keep me bound in chains,
then by the light of a single candle
I set them all to flame.
As I watch my negative patterns burn,
I think of what will be left -
a empty space waiting for love
and immediately, love fills my breast.
Casting the ashes to high tide
I dance to the sound of the wind;
I feel the love grow strong and firm,
I am ready for my life to begin.
