This piece might be a disturbing image for many. The idea of a Witch being consumed by flames brings back memories of an age we know as "The Burning Times." For many, it is more than an idea; it is a vivid flash of recollection and remembrance as we turn our sights back to previous or alternate lives. While that is not the intent of this piece, I do acknowledge its existence, and so I say, before I continue with my commentary on this piece...

NEVER AGAIN THE BURNING!

FOR ANYONE!!!

Consumption is a continuation of Brighid's Fire, both as an addition to these pages known as Brighid's Fire as well as another representation of what the phrase Brighid's Fire means to me.

Consumption is the concept of being consumed, not by the elemental flame and fire, but by the ethereal flame and fire, the fire that burns within - with creativity, with passion, with life. It is going within to find the life flame that burns in us all and turning that flame to exist outside of ourselves through creative manifestation. It is finding the things we are passionate about and living that passion in all we do. The flame illuminates the truth, but it is up to us to carry that flame forward so that all truth might be illuminated, for all beings. While it is true... "for if you do not find that which you seek within, you shall never find it without"... it is also true that what you find within must be carried forth to exist without. The fires may burn within your heart, within your being, but they will not magickally manifest in your outer world unless you yourself carry them forth. Magick itself cannot manifest without intent and will. So go within, find the flames that are your passions, find also the creativity to bring them to life through physical manifestation, then carry the torch with you and illuminate your life. Allow yourself to be consumed by the flames of passion, the flames of creativity, the flames of life.
